The sun is at a great angle in the morning at this time of year. It fills the back porch and kitchen wonderfully in the morning. This reflection on the wall from a magnet on the refrigerator struck me as pretty interesting considering the magnet is not a mirror at all.

Imagine my surprise when I saw my project management book listed in my RSS feed from Stephen Downes.

I’m thinking he was not terribly excited about it. And, the blog listing he gave as linktrobution also seems less than thrilled. But, I know that my chapter was not ADDIE oriented but rather more about the process of a project and not instructional design specifically.

I’ll just focus on the nice to be noticed part!

Our godson made it over to visit the new kittens.

He wore them out!! It has been amazing to see how much they have changed in the short week we have had them. They seem bigger. Definitely braver. They check out anything and everything.

In fact, we think they are the definition of ADD.

While down visiting my folks for the weekend, I also managed a short visit with my niece, who is hitting her nine month mark on Monday. She was having fun with Daddy on Sunday (and Mommy, too – who she hadn’t seen much in the past few days)

Walking with my Dad down to the downtown area of my hometown. My folks dressed in Victoria era costumes and help lead the trolley rides past historic homes (including theirs, which is a Victorian two-story that they restored 4 years ago).

I think Dad looks pretty spiffy as a Victorian gentleman.

Getting ready for the big feast. Our department prides itself in our get-togethers. Today’s kicks off the end of the year festivities as we had our Thanksgiving feast. From this point on, time just seems to rush through the end of the semester, finals, and then the holiday break.

Don’t worry, we manage to get in a few more parties before December comes to an end.

They seem to have taken to the new surroundings just fine. It is fun to see the two very distinct personalities already emerging. It’s been a long while since I have had such small pets around so this adventure really will be something. But, I promise, this will not become a completely cat-oriented blog!

AND, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SISTER AND BRO-IN-LAW!!!

When I found the 4-Variable Buffy Personality Test in my Whedonesque RSS feed this AM, I just had to take it!! I’ve been a BtVS fan for a long, long time. My results? Well, here they are (drumroll, please)

Spike

63% amorality, 63% passion, 45% spirituality, 54% selflessness

Ruthless, passionate, ravenous and–when it comes to it–devoted to those you love. Sound okay? Sounds like Spike, a character at times a hero and others a villain, but always compelling, dynamic and driven.

Based on the results of this test, you’re like Spike in every way but the fangs.

Congratulations!

What about that? Works for me…I even went as Spike for Halloween a few years ago so I must have already known.

Want to take the quiz yourself? Have at it.
