Chips just sits at the electronic dog door and watches the birds.
Fidgert wants to run out (and does, more than we want) but she seems content
to just sit and stare.
Reminds me of Chance the Gardner, the Peter Sellers character in Being There
She seems to be saying….”I like to watch”.
As a frustrated artist-wannabe, I am always intrigued by projects that work to visually explain, connect, explore and/or organize complex relationships between people/events/news/insert your item here. Seeing that kind of work online always inspires me and reminds me of the techy-feely relationship we all have with our arts (digital or not).
One of my favorites was the Music Genome project, which had a great map linking artists together so you could follow paths from artist to artist and see if Prince really is related to John Denver. That has since morphed somewhat into Pandora.
Then, I saw a link to the Visual Thesaurus, which is a really great way to get out of writer’s block, create fresh copy or build your vocabulary. But, it has a cost! Poop.
For even more, check out the visualcomplexity site for more projects exploring ways to map complex networks.
Beautiful stuff.
HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY TO BABY IRIS!!
Hard to believe that one year ago you surprised us with your 9 week early
arrival. After a stint in the NICU, you joined my sister and brother-in-law
for an exciting year, according to them.
We all gathered for a big party at at the grandparent’s house…complete
with guests from California!!
The next to last night for bowling this season. But, I have to miss next
week so it was my last night.
Finished the night with a 180, which is about 40 pins over my average!
The team name: Mrs. Davisons. In honor of my teammate’s mom!
It’s fun.
Another day of wintry mix!
One small step for winter boots, one big step into the frozen tundra!
Watched a documentary from PBS on Annie Leibovitz.
I’m inspired again! I know some folks say she is overrated but I still am
very engaged by her work…from Rolling Stone to Vanity Fair.
