The termite damage has been repaired.
Well, mostly.
To quote the museum carpenter, “all we lack is the finishing”
At least the gaping hole in the baseboard is gone.
And, who doesn’t love to work with a ball peen hammer??
My drive home and I just about didn’t get the camera out fast enough.
Safely driving, of course, but if you squint you can tell…..
SNOW ON THE SMOKIES!!
Happy Valentine’s Day from our house to yours.
Chips, the white kitten, is a little under the weather and wants to sleep.
Her brother, doesn’t.
They did snuggle up for a Valentine’s portrait. This is the behind the

This is the renovated distance classroom where I work. Some of my coworkers
spent most of the summer renovating it and making it so much better. The
screen, the digital signal, the microphones, the tablet PC. It’s all so
cool. We hope it makes the students learn more, too!

bother me but the sight of these condos every day as I drive home from work
still puts a lump in my throat.
Houses are being moved or torn down all around us. I guess living somewhere

there were cows at the end of the street rather than condo(w)s.
Volunteered at the local home and garden show all afternoon.
It was fun to see folks and look and dream about hot tubs, fancy kitchen
appliances and mops that apparently clean by themselves!
This artwork struck me ..our convention center is full of work by local
artists. This one is mixed media, my favorite, covering the four seasons.
I wish I had taken down the artist’s name..I will the next time I am there.
