Wow…post #500 to my blog. Who knew???
Just noticed that this is my 500th post here at good old T-F!! I am happy about that. The P365 certainly keeps it in front on my mind but I do enjoy tinkering with it all.
Happy Birthday to one of my Japan-nieces!! She is getting so big so fast! Amazing.
My post of the cardinal reminded me that I have some Jr Birder business. Here are two recent sightings:
Unknown bird on campus, maybe a green heron or a really, really big Kingfisher?
Another was the yellow crowned night heron we saw on our bike ride Sunday. New bird for me!

The cardinals in this area are “bald”. It is disturbing. We thought it was contaminated seed in our feeders but we saw the same thing on our bike ride last weekend so it appears to be a disease. This guy was hanging out on our lawn lights this morning. Maybe the lack of feathers up top is cooler in the summer?
