HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!!
We celebrated with three generations of dads today. Dined al fresco in the side yard with a grill out extraordinaire. I think a good time was had by all. I told my Dad I was glad he was my Dad…which is true.
I have to give props to Merlin Mann over at 43 Folders. He must have a cosmic connection to what I need to read and hear because this video is several years old but just showed up in his blog to reach my eyeballs today.
I’ve been to the TED talks site a few times but never taken the time and energy to actually view any of them.
This one is great and fits in with the Techy-Feely theme so well. Design can make you happy…you can be happy making design. Technology can make you happy…you can be happy making/using technology. It’s all good.
I had to laugh when my survey came up with this result. I love Ani…but every time I have seen Ani, I bring the average age in the room up at least 5-7 years!!!

The closest I will probably ever get to winning a “major award” just like The Old Man did in A Christmas Story.
On a lark, I entered a sweepstakes at the online store where I get my vacuum belts and filters. Now, I am the proud owner of a Dyson Slim. Wow! I never win anything.
A friend, who is a fellow Dyson owner, told me that I would “amazed and repulsed” by the amount of stuff it pulls out of the carpet. That is probably true with three furballs living in the house.
Oh, BTW – if you are interested in getting the “major award” from the movie, apparently, you can.
