On my walking around yesterday, we passed this building. I was amused by the name….Dr. Humor. Since my brother is Dr. Tastegood, I thought this might be his new name.
But, my research shows that it is actually more than that.
From Virtual Tourist:
The Drhumor Building (pronounced “drummer”) was built in 1895 and is the oldest commercial building still standing in Asheville downtown. In this site Elizabeth Blackwell – first American woman doctor – began her studies of medicine in 1845. Well, that building of doctor’s practice didn’t survive and was replaced by the Drhumor Building
Who knew?
No fireworks photos today. I never really saw too many (but me and kittens and dog heard plenty of LOUD ones, the pets did NOT enjoy them)
This is the little phone that can swim. Yes, this phone spent over 30 minutes in the pool (unwillingly) and all it needed was a new battery to come back to life. Don’t try this at home, kids..it is apparently a trained stunt phone.
