Jake, Jack and Elwood Blues saw us off from the Chicago Midway Airport. Someday, maybe we can share the actual movie with the kids.
Spent the day at Wisconsin Dells, which is a resort/tourist area not too far away from Spring Green. We teamed up for Wizard Quest at the request of Jack. We were the Fellowship of Wismartenn (WISconsin, MARyland, TENNessee) and completed our mission with 6 minutes to spare! Whew.
This part of Wisconsin is home to Frank Lloyd Wright so you have to pay homage to that. We toured his (still operating) architecture school, which has a very unique approach to teaching. There are a small number of students and they live communally at the school. They also have to take turns with various tasks at the school like working in the dining hall, etc. It was really interesting.
Something idyllic about the REALLY small town feel..we enjoyed walking down the train tracks back home after breakfast at the General Store Cafe.
Trapped in a traffic jam trying to get to Nashville! Good thing the flight is not until tomorrow AM. This bridge over the Caney Fork was pretty in the sunset and the mist.
