Data load went pretty well. Yea! Took the kittens for a walk. Or a lie down in the yard.

The eve of the big first load of data in our server. I’ve been nervous and worried about it all week. But, this evening, we just tried to relax, eat some pizza and not think about it.

It’s getting to the end of the in-service weeks before classes begin. Training is going full force. Glad to see a few smiles as we get started on another session.

This spring, the outstanding faculty member who was selected is a friend of my mine from high school days. I felt the honor needed to be celebrated as they return from the summer. So, out came the annual and up on her office door came a banner. I didn’t want to ruin the surprise in the VERY UNLIKELY event she actually reads this blog. So, I only photographed the annual. Can you find me on the page?

I was surprised on party nite with a Tommy’s Pizza of Perfection brought in from Columbus, OH!!! Yum. Good thing, ’cause I’m so darn tired every day after work, I just cannot even think of cooking. I’m luck to even get pictures posted.

My great aunt Effie died yesterday. She was, I think, the last living sibling of my grandfather on my dad’s side of the family. She was a typical country woman who had all kinds of talents, many of which I probably don’t even know about.

I didn’t know her very well but I did enjoy her when we were together, which was usually about once a year at the Christmas party. We would draw numbers and exchange gifts. One year, I got a basket made by her. The basket in the bottom shelf is that very one. I have used it ever since then for holding mail, diskettes and now a wide variety of things I need to get to someday. I took a quick look and her name is penciled on the bottom of the basket along with 1988, which is probably the year I won this basket at the gift exchange.

Thinking of her.

Yes, we are spoiling the kittens. Chips really seems to prefer running water. We don’t want to leave the sink running so off to the pet store for a new water bowl. They are fascinated but I’m not sure I have actually seen them drinking from it yet.

Surely the moving water is also good feng shui!

So, I go out for a few hours and I return to find this in the living room. How do they knock over just about everything?
