Ah…love the happy accident. What was supposed to be a basic photo of a line of bowling balls becomes all artsy-fartsy due to the wrong setting on the camera. But, I liked this one better!

The only decoration I can muster right now…the skeleton on the screen! My coworker decided he needed a laptop so that was fashioned from gatorboard. Wonder if he really glows in the dark? Wonder if he is really a he?

Time for a new driver’s license! Amazing what a difference 5 years and about 30 pounds will do to a photo! I am much happier with the new one..better picture, the lamination is still on and my signature even looks a little neater..what’s up with that?

The house across the street takes its holidays seriously! As soon as Halloween is over, Thanksgiving will come up. They already have the Christmas lights up on their roof so that happens the day after Thanksgiving. I love it. Wish my photo did it justice!

Went to some friends for dinner. It was a glorious fall day and we love going to their house because it is filled with art and joy just surrounds them. Lots of fun..even down to the door knocker

Driving back through my favorite part of the planet. Too bad fall color is just not happening this year..but that didn’t stop my from endangering myself to take a photo!

My friend is in ICU and she is improving every minute. But, it has been pretty hard today..lots of serious cases including a car accident with 4 young people. I don’t enjoy sitting in this small waiting room with folks who are very upset (rightfully so). It feels too public and voyeuristic to me. I keep wandering around but I also don’t want to abandon my friend’s husband (also my friend) when he is waiting around as well.
Strolling around the hospital during the down time between visitation hours for my friend. Saw this fellow sitting outside hooked up to an IV and on his cell phone and admired his style.

Arrived at the hospital at 6 AM after getting up at 4:15 am to get ready and drive into town. It will be a long day but I’m sure things will go well.

Off to NC on the eve of my good friend’s surgery. I am confident things will turn out and as I was driving my safe travel “icon” caught my eye. It was the keychain for a hotel in Japan and my brother said it was good luck charm for us, the guests. So, I just put it in my car next to my bowling air freshener..that no longer really freshens any air but still looks mighty fun!
